Brilliant Toys for 2 Year Old Girls
Leapfrog Picnic Basket
This is such a cute toy. Even though it's pink, I recently bought one for my nephew for his birthday and he loves it.
It's a picnic basket with a shapesorter food plate and lots of utensils for pretend picnics.
It's a great learning toy with lots of songs. There's three songs about shapes, a rainbow song and a please and thank-you son. Toddlers will love putting things in the picnic basket and carrying it around.
A magna doodle is a great drawing for 2 year olds. Both my niece, son, older children and adults used to love this toy.
You get to scribble, doodle and draw to your hearts content without having the mess of paper and crayons.
What's great about this toy is that little ones can doodle to their heart's content with the pen. And when they get older there are stamps, stencils and including 26 letter stencils, number and shape stencils. The toy also features 50+ sounds and music too.
It's a great toy for travel as you can take it in the car, to friend's houses and more and don't have to worry about your children drawing on the walls.
The aquadoodle mat lets you doodle in colors red, blue, green, and purple without making any mess! Just fill up the pen with water and get doodling. Perfect for little ones as they can scribble to their heart's content without you having to worry about them drawing anywhere else. When their drawing dries it will disappear and they can start again!
Leapfrog Fridge Magnets
This is such a great learning toy.
The toy comes with 26 magnetic letters. Toddlers love to play with the magnetic letters on the fridge and are great for keeping little ones occupied when you are cooking in the kitchen and need to keep an eye on them.
Each letter slides into the bus (which is also magnetic) and when you press the button you can hear the letter, its sound, a word that begins with the letter and the letter in a sentence. It's perfect for introducing the alphabet and for learning new vocabulary.
It also plays the alphabet song and wheels on the bus too.
ALEX Toys Little Hands String A Farm
A toy that you're probably going to love or hate.
The Bilibo doesn't "do" anything but it can become so many things to the imaginative toddler.
Designed in Switzerland, this toy has won countless awards for design and play value.
Toddlers can sit in it and be dragged around or spin in it. They can stand or sit on it. It can become a shell and the toddler a snail. It can carry all kinds of thing everywhere. Use it as a tunnel for cars and trains, perhaps it's a drum, a spinner or it could be an army hat. The imagination is the limit.
This is a nice little play hut which is 3 feet tall so big enough for little ones to stand up and play. It has some extra features that include:
- A changing room curtain inside the tent offers a private place to switch costumes and a detachable mirror lets them preview their look before showing it off.
Green Toys Build-a-Bouquet Stacking Set
This is a buildable, stackable flower set perfect for honing fine motor skills and developing creativity in budding florists.
It's aimed at kids from 3 plus but the reviews show a lot of 2 year olds have real fun playing with this set too.
It's also great for color matching and sorting skills. Little ones will love putting the flowers into different combinations.
The best thing about this set is that it is environmentally friendly and made from 100% recycled milk bottles. The set is also made in the USA and uses a tight, local supply chain that minimizes transportation emissions and supports the domestic economy.
little tikes count and Play

Slide the credit card to watch all the coins drop down is super fun for little hands too. And pull the lever to open the draw.
The toy is perfect for developing fine motor skills and finger strength as well as sorting and color matching skills.
It's also perfect to have your first game of shop.
